Matthew 6:7-8 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things you have need of, before ye ask him. (NKJ) We do not bring our needs to God in prayer to inform Him (He already knows) but rather to make clear our trust in Him. We do not need rituals, chants, or incantations to gain access to Him.
