Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, - TopicsExpress

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity”. Oh my, what a very scary thought. To think we had it all figured out, just to make it to judgment day to hear Jesus say “depart from me for I never knew you”. This would be horrible. I can only imagine what would go through one’s mind when they hear these words. But Jesus, I did my best, or thoughts like out of all the chances God gave me I chose not to better myself I thought I had it all under control. Well folks when this time comes if we are not filled with the spirit on this day we shall not enter into heaven. For all the chances GOD has given us will be over. There will be no more chances to get things right with God. We MUST get prepared NOW for this day, because we never know when this day will come. Will we continue to walk around thinking that we are ok and just pray that we make it to heaven? Or will we do everything in our power to make sure we enter into the kingdom of heaven? I don’t know about you all but burning in hell for eternity scares me enough to get myself right with God daily… Sure I make mistakes daily but that isn’t the end. I repent for my wrongs, get up and start all over, daily. My soul finds peace within doing this. I turn my disappointment into His (Gods) appointment, with prayer and repentance. Spending time with God is how we get to know each other. How can we spend time with GOD? We pray and get into His word. That is where we learn about His ways. When we pray we listen and talk to Him as a friend. It takes practice to get a prayer life and that intimacy with God. But they say if you do it for thirty days straight it becomes habit. So let’s get started today… Please prepare yourself to meet the Lord… One day at a time, because if we think about doing anything for years and years it can become overwhelming. So let’s not worry about the future because we are not promised it and yesterday is gone so we can’t change it. However, we do have today. Take advantage of it and get ready to go home and be with Jesus and all of your friends and family that has went home before you. They want to see you again just like you want to see them. This life is only temporary but eternity is forever!!! The choice is yours… What will you do? Be wise or stay emerged in self-defeating, selfish ways? Please be wise!!! I love you friends and family!!!
