Matthew Skinners Airport Advice! Part 2: Security Check This part can be intimidating for some. But stick to these rules and youll be a-ok! When in doubt, throw it out! If you arent sure you can have it with you on the plane and need it when you reach your destination, be sure to put it in your checked bag BEFORE checking said bag. Otherwise, toss it or leave it at home. Empty those pockets! Make sure you dont have anything in your pockets. Keeping everything in your carry-on makes this process easier and smoother. Comfy feet! Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes that slip on and off. And, for the sake of those around you, wear socks that you wont be embarrassed when revealing them. Because you will be revealing them. And be nice. Tell the security staff kind words. They have a rough job at times. Every nice thing said makes their day a little better.
