Mauer the hunter is on the prowl... About 4:00 am this morning I woke up to a very loud crash in the living room... Minutes later I hear squeak squeak and the cats come barreling into my room and UNDER MY BED!! OMG there is a mouse UNDER MY BED!! Of course, Sydney had climbed into bed with me, so I had no choice but to remain calm. With a MOUSE UNDER MY BED. Text Chris at work (supporting his overnight team), who replied and says he is in a crisis and cant talk. Well this is my crisis buddy, so whatever. After about a half hour of watching Mauer stalk my bed and room, I realize the mouse is probably not under my bed, or Mauer would have found him or at least scared him out of hiding, so Im ok. Of course Im terrified that Mauer is going to find the mouse and bring it to me like the sweet cat that he is, so not much sleep and fun, mouse themed nightmares for me... Fast forward to Chris sleeping while Laney and I are shopping this afternoon. I get a text from him, Get a mouse trap. Mauer was playing with the mouse but lost it and it got away. Fantastic. So, I wont be sleeping again tonight, will I?
