Maui surf dec 2nd: It is fairly safe to say that we won’t be seeing anything significant throughout the forecast period, as only minor fetches northwest of the islands try to send small to moderate surf our way. At this time it looks like we could see swells arriving Wednesday and another Saturday. We may see a minor bump along our south shores arriving around Tuesday and into Wednesday, but it will be nothing to get excited over, if anything shows up at all. But looking further out, the South Pacific may be able to aim a bit more swell toward our shores in a few days. The models show a low passing south and southeast of New Zealand beginning Sunday. If all goes well, a fetch of gales would be aimed toward French Polynesia and the swell produced would reach our south shores around Monday the 9th or more likely Tuesday, potentially around moderate levels.
