Maureen Hancock Message: Our beautiful, brave friend, Raquel Bogardus was raised up on Eagles wings this morning. Raq had an aneurism in September. Her will to stay here with her husband and children is awe-inspiring. Here is a little blurb about her message to me this morning: IM GOING HOME: From day one, I decided to fight. To fight to stay alive, to feel my boys around me, to soak in every bit of love my husband, sons, family, and friends surrounded me with. I always felt like life was such a gift, never to be wasted. I watched as friends suffered with grief for the loss of their loved ones. I knew they were in a beautiful place, but never in my wildest dreams did I know just how breathtaking this place would be. I do now. My message to you is this: When you feel you have little left to give, think of me and give some more. When life gives you more than you feel you can handle, think of me and keep climbing. When you feel like giving up, think of me and dont give up. I will fill you with strength and help you understand what a gift this life is. Today, the machines stopped beeping, but my heart is pumping with love from the many that have held me up and kept me going on this journey to wholeness. If you believed in me then, believe in me now; I will be the whisper in the wind, the butterfly who broke from the cocoon, the rainbow stretching across the sky with vibrant colors that make you smile. I am home- home is Heaven and home is where my heart lies with my family forever and a day. ML always.
