May I ask why everyone here is so against trainers that do not use treats? There are so many other forms of positive reinforcement. For my dogs so many reasons NOT to use treats. For instance: -I have a dog that can not digest cooked protein, grains, chicken and many more things. -I have a foster dog that gets so focused on the food she will do nothing other then sit. (Thats with CHEERIOS). So instead I use the ball for allergy dog, and a quick run for the foster dog (shes a greyhound cross). For my Jack Russells I could almost be carting around a dead deer and they wouldnt care (unless we are 30 seconds past what they deem feeding time), so for them I use the flirt pole or lure coursing as the rewards.
