May I just make a cynical request based on a lifetime of experience, of newspaper headlines and a decade of internet articles; that well meaning facebook friends that are about to barrage me with exciting news about diabetes.... please dont. Let me explain why. I just heard on the radio, again, that there has been an amazing breakthrough, again, by scientists aiming to cure this nasty thing. If you read the following article, youll see that it sounds very hopeful. But take a second look, youll see words like Could, if, potentially, you never know for sure, possibly, Trials on laboratory monkeys are however needed before the technology can be transferred into humans. Cynicism aside, however, I would LOVE to be proved wrong, and I really like the fact people are continuing to try, they have my support, etc. I just dont want to have to hurt anyone who is nice enough to send me this article by rudely and unfairly lashing out at them out of frustration. Its like people talking about living on Mars at some point soon. Again, I want them to find a cure. Its just they havent yet, so lets celebrate when they actually have. Cheers! Love you! :) :) :)
