May Snowstorm Update 5/12/14 for Larimer County: Additional light snow did fall overnight, but accumulation was minimal in most Northern Colorado areas except the foothills. Roads are wet and slushy with standing water in some locations. National Weather Service has issued a FREEZE WARNING for LARIMER COUNTY in effect from 10 PM this evening to 8 AM Tuesday Morning. Temperatures forecast to drop into the 20s across Northeast Colorado. Make sure to cover your sensitive plants and vegetation or bring them indoors to prevent them from freezing. We have not received any word on school delays or closures, Thompson R2-J and Estes Park R-3 schools are open and running on normal schedule per their voice messages on the closure hotline. Poudre School District, parents and staff are notified by email or the PSD voice messaging system on closures and info is on the PSD website. At this time it does not appear PSD has any delays or closures either.
