May as well dedicate the whole day to Pre Workouts seeing as there - TopicsExpress

May as well dedicate the whole day to Pre Workouts seeing as there were a few questions about them :-). Do I recommend a certain Pre Workout? No, not really. If you already drink coffee then the Pre Workouts on the market (some of which contain 300mg of caffeine per serve) wont serve you much purpose to be honest. Read the labels, some of the ingredients (like the commonly used Arginine) tend to make your skin itchy and red once they kick in and this can be alarming for some, not to mention cause airway inflammation, bloating and abdominal pain. Pre Workouts are (and these are my own thoughts) better off saved for weight training days, but again let me state, FOOD should ALWAYS be your first preference. My experience of Pre Workout (loaded with fat blasters and all sorts of numbers and names which made no sense to me at the time) left me feeling dizzy with some serious heart racing action - it was bloody scary! Recently Ive switched from a Pre Workout supp to my oats, apple and protein powder (aka my breakfast) and today I benched more than my body weight! Suffice to say I didnt lack in the gym. At the end of the day its an individual decision. Sure they have their place in the fitness world, but they should remain secondary to fresh, whole food options (in my opinion).
