May be taking part in therapy sessions at other centres monitoring the behavioural development of children in mainstream schools. And our latest project at NUH is stone words. I have prepared a set and this I will show at the centre to the director and see if he thinks the set is suitable for the children. I met up with my friend recently who is a school teacher and I explained a problem encountered by my another friend with her child. My friend , the school teacher said the child was definitely autistic. But I thought of a way to enter the childs world. I actually bought him 2 Disney notebooks from the value shop and everytime he thinks of going downstairs to take a bus ride to some place, ask him to jot it down. We can also note the frequency of the attacks which if left untreated may lead to obsession. Another method that I thought of was to make the road track showing the bus stops that he would pass buy, buy him a bus and get him to wheel around. Light hearted if he wheels it around many times a day, he will be bored soon and he would just move on. Any one who has any ideas may contribute them on this web page and we can share and interact.
