May is STROKE MONTH - Check out Evangelicals upcoming stroke screens and stroke support group in our events tab. Screens are scheduled for today, May 2, from 9 am-noon • Monday, May 5 from 9 am-noon • Wednesday, May 14 from noon-4 pm • Friday, May 23 from 1-3 pm Walk-ins are welcome - just come to the Evangelical Community Health and Wellness Center on Route 15, next to the Hospital. For stroke survivors, families, and caregivers, Evangelical Community Hospital offers a stroke support group monthly with the next one focusing on memory challenge being held on Thursday, May 8 from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Hospital’s Apple Conference Rooms at the rear of the Dining Room. The support group, led by a licensed psychologist and the Medical Director of the Stroke Center, is meant to connect individuals affected by stroke in a safe, comfortable environment where they can work together to learn about the condition and openly share frustrations and tips to help with life after stroke. Future scheduled topics of the group include living safely with stroke, eating healthy, medications for stroke, and progressing after therapy ends.
