Maybe Im insane but I noticed a similarity between Christians and the Jedi Knights in Star Wars sci-fi spinoff by George Lucas. Its interesting to note that a Jedi falls when they allow desires/passions to overtake their true calling, no matter how innocent or good those desires are. Jedi knights are required to remove all forms of attachment most notably, material attachment. While the Jedi just like Christians are commanded to have compassion for all things, they are however warned of the dangers of strong emotionally attachment. It becomes even more interesting that Jedi knights were instructed to never give into fear, hate or anger otherwise they will be drawn to the dark side of the force. Dont you find it a little odd that the bible constantly warns against this same vices? Even their style and manner of dressing although different reminds me of the Jewish apostles in those days. And the Jedi were also instructed to keep their hearts and mind pure by maintaining a high level of moral integrity just as Jesus instructed the Christians. And while a Jedis most trusted weapon is his lightsaber(sword of truth), a Christians weapon is the bible (the book of truth). Hmmmm, maybe youre not yet convinced but this last part really got to me. And while Order 66 purged the galaxy of Jedi Knights (in the year 22 BBY star Wars time), the mark of the beast in the bible (666) will rid the world of Christians. Maybe Im crazy but you got to admit, the world will be in a far more worse state if God did not introduce his love to it, through the sacrifice of son Jesus Christ. In other words, the Jedi Knights are guidance of peace and justice. I seem to recall Jesus calling Christians to always sue for peace, justice and equality. I rest my case. :)
