Maybe Im not paying close attention, but outside of elected leaders who are the leaders of the progressive/liberal movement? The not-so-right wing seems to blindly follow the likes of talking empty heads such as Huckabee, Rush, and Sarah ... among scores of other public loudmouthed bigots. So who stands out among us? Where is our MLK, Steinem, Milk, Malcolm X? We dont seem to have a public mouth unless you want to count MSNBC Al and Rachel and a few non-profit leaders that speak out now and then. But none of them are at rallies or in the streets leading marches or protests like we used to have. Frankly I see this as our demise. We have put so much weight onto our political leaders to fix our country that we dont quite have the insentive to take matters into our own hands. Feel free to list any that are your favorite leaders...Im totally without a clue as to who any of them are now.
