Maybe its the country boy in me because I definitely struggle with other flesh issues, but I could never understand why some church people get so desperate and crazy especially ministers and pastors trying to get a special seat on pulpit, or a title or position. Bishopric/ grand prophet- chief apostle- senior pastor - now how the heck do these names help win souls for Christ?. Maybe I am just country but titles have never meant anything to me. I know who I am. Ive actually had licensed older female preachers pushing like WWE wrestlers to get ahead of me in a funeral procession line to walk in front of a casket to be seen at a funeral/ pure Craziness. Thats why some never achieved spiritual success. The whole point of serving Christ is humility. How can you teach and preach with convicting power what you dont believe yourself?
