Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 THESSALONIANS 5: 24 After serving God for quite a while, instead of feeling that I was getting better, I felt that I was getting worse. What was happening was, I was getting to know myself better. Once, when I did not know who I was, I thought I was pretty fine. I had a high opinion of myself. Then, by the good grace of God, I saw myself as He sees me. What a shock and disappointment! I barely recognized myself and became a little discouraged. I need not succumb to discouragement, because faithful is He that called me who will also do it. God is going to finish the job. Whenever God begins something, we have the assurance that He will finish it. Nothing will stand in the way of Him accomplishing His purpose in this world and in our lives. What God starts, He finishes, and nobody can hinder Him. Sure, delays will happen. Just remember, God is in charge of the delays as well as the progress. If the Lord is not making you feel as you want to be now, continue to believe and trust in the faithfulness of God. It is coming around. God is faithful.
