Celebrities like Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke, The Rock, Conan OBrien , Justin Bieber , Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are busy getting buckets of ice water tipped over their head. They are also busy nominating others to take the challenge.... ALS Association will be using the funds to help families dealing with the disease as well as invest in helping find a cure... The ALS Assocation said that 307,598 of the donations it has received in recent weeks have come from people who had never given before... ALS - An american Non-profit organisation that raises money for research and pateint services... promotes awareness on the issues related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrigs disease.... also called motor neurone disease....It is characterised by muscle spasticity, rapidly progressive weakness due to muscle atrophy, difficulty in speaking , swalloing , breathing, causes muscles weakness throught the body...motor neurons in the body are damaged first....
