McGee Creek in the sun While trying to explore McGee Creek in the Eastern Sierras during the fall color season we found it to be quite popular with a few tour groups. Many of the participants of said tour groups did not seem to understand that to occupy the same spot directly in front of other peoples comps for more than a few minutes is quite rude. So off I went in search of better spots with less of a crowd. I found a few and finally they left and I was able to take the shots I wanted (which turned out to be not as great as I had hoped) and soon the sun had crested the hills and the sun was streaming through the trees. This created some interesting and difficult exposure issues as now I really had to bracket to be safe. This shot is a two exposure blend. In this case I blended by hand with nothing but a layer mask and my wacom with the brush tool. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Hope you guys like it!
