Me & Sura alKahf (the Cave) & Shuib Webbs Website (Part 1) I - TopicsExpress

Me & Sura alKahf (the Cave) & Shuib Webbs Website (Part 1) I watched the sura above until verse 82 this morning. I know you are puzzled as I said that I watched. I had many suras downloaded from the youtube and the web base is MeaningforQuran. The reciter is my favourite Rashad Masyary al Afasy. He has a good voice and very clear when it comes to voice contour. Beside his interesting reading it is also because of the big font used. After a verse there is a translation in English. So I engage in two things, the correct way to recite and the meaning of the verses. I confess I dont know much Arabic and you can call me as having lack of integrity as my knowledge of Arabic is very very little. Yes people, I admit that. But I try to cover my shortcomings by reading supporting materials from other sources to understand certain issues. My materials are the Holy Quran and its Translation published by the Government of Saudi Arabia, 40 Hadith by anNawawi, Talbis Iblis (The Deception of Iblis) by Ibn AlJawzee, Misquoting Jesus by Bart Ehrman, The Holy Bible (KJV), Good News Bible (Simplified), Public Speeches housed in youtube by Ahmed Deedat, Zakir Naik, Shabir Ally, James White, Jay Smith, Joshua Evans, Abu Usamah atThahabi, Hamzah Yusuf, Shuaib Webb and his website (suhaibwebb/islam-studies/tafseer-surat-al-kahf/), Abdul Raheem Green etc. I wont mention to you about Ibn Katsirs commentary (tafseer) of the Holy Quran as its so big and over 6000 pages. I do read it although its heavy. But its a struggle. Everybody has a journey which the owner of the body navigates. Im telling you this because Im only an average Muslim trying to tell others about my religion in the best comprehensible way I can. Tell it to them even it is only a verse, could be the one who hears it may know the content better than the one who relates it (a translation from the first hadith in 40 Hadith by anNawawi. This hadith is narrated by the second caliph (the righteous ruler) Umar alKattab (May Allah grant him Jannah). Sura alKahfi (the Cave) has 110 verses. It contains religious values especially those who think they are better than Allah. Until I write again. Allah knows best.
