Me and metal chair, Part 2. Dropback training ! So once I get my spine opened up in the more supported backbends, its time to get to work in more active backbends. I can drop back and stand from the floor fairly skillfully these days, but it took years--years-- to get there. Working this way with the chair to figure out how to keep the weight of my body centered in the pelvis and anchored in the legs was an invaluable help. Finding your legs, as the Ashtanga crowd likes to say? Hmm, maybe a chair can help with that!
