Meanwhile, in the necessary and soul searching solitude I afford myself from time to time began in earnest in the small hours to build on the triumphs of the day prior, here being Phase III Graffiti Remediation along a fixed line starting from 65 Street and Woodside Avenue north to 39 Avenue, then west to Woodside Avenue at 53 Street, north to 38 Avenue, the site of the massive toils, then east to 61 Street ending in good order at Pollos Mario Restaurant on 62 Street and Woodside Avenue, but not before diverting significant time to encounter the CWV Post where Gary Jacobson gave me access to the roof where much graffiti nonsense was removed, and after a moment to relax at the bar, where I had many memories of the great Walter Bishop, another in a long and uninterrupted line of victories assured, another easily verifiable example of resisting the temptation to resort to hand wringing and face contorting over such silliness just like those verbal activists, and simply carry forth the mission established years ago. Again, more work to restore this particular rooftop area remains, something which Woodside will call upon men of action such as John S. Colgan and Tommy Lehnert who are locked in an epic struggle over specific locations where the vandals have yet to retreat or even recognize that they and I and our team where hands meet iron will go on forever to restore order and confidence. As an aside, the CWV Post roof offered a wonderful view of our residents going here and there, in peace and harmony, and is this not something to take pride over? (11/30/14)
