Meanwhile, the state of the “church” in North America is weak, - TopicsExpress

Meanwhile, the state of the “church” in North America is weak, vacillating, compromising and carnal. We’ve been assimilated into the society we were called to bring salt and light to. What is salt that has lost its saltiness good for…..nothing, according to Jesus. “Good for nothing, but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot! (Matthew 5:13) I find it illuminating that many in the “evangelical church,” agree that the “church” needs revival and is not doing well, from Pastors to parishioners. The funny thing is, they don’t mean THEIR church or THEMSELVES. Their “church” is “different,” not like others. Of course, these “other” churches, say the same thing. Then, there are some who are so blind they don’t even know what I am talking about. They are devoid of spiritual understanding completely. This, of course, is as it should be. “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 In spite of over half the country identifying as “Christian,” and a large percentage of them saying they are “born again Christians,” the reality of their lives give no indication of a transformed lifestyle, but only an ever so slightly adjusted course, making them indistinguishable from their neighbors, co-workers, family and friends. Yes, for decades upon decades the “church” has accepted and proclaimed a false gospel; a self-improvement gospel; a gospel that requires little or nothing from its converts. In contrast, the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus preached, demands everything; to be a living sacrifice; holy; not conformed to the world, but transformed by the renewing of the mind; to die to self; to hate mother, father, brother, sister, spouse and your own life too; to give up everything; to take up your cross daily, to love not the world, nor the things in the world; to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; to not store up treasure on earth, but in heaven; to set the mind on things above, not on earthly things, to hate your life in this world. The commitment that Christ demands, however, is too much for the independent, self-loving, self-made, individualistic, my way, rebellious American. So, the message began to change to fit the hearers, the “seekers,” the “unchurched,” and ended up as another gospel, which is no gospel at all. “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all..”(Galatians 1:6,7a) And what does Paul say about those who preach such a false gospel?” …let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!” (Galatians 1:8b,9) Jesus warned that in the last days, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:5) Many translations render the verse with single quotes around, ‘I am Christ,’ indicating these false teachers would claim to be Jesus. Bear in mind the chapter headings, verses and much of the punctuation were not in the originals, but added later by man. I don’t believe Jesus is saying they will claim to be Christ. What He is saying is, that many will come in His name saying, “Jesus is the Christ,” and deceive MANY! No one comes, “in someone’s name,” and then claims to BE the one in whose name they come. No, Jesus rightly predicted that many would come in His name, proclaiming He was Christ, giving them credibility, but would be deceivers. This is what has happened to the “American Evangelical Church.” Oh, they proclaim Jesus alright; they use His Name and SELECTIVELY and DECEPTIVELY deceive many with a false gospel. The “church” is filled with unconverted, Spiritless, untransformed, CINO(Christians in name only) “Christians.” The shepherds of these imposters are as the shepherds of Israel. Jeremiah says over and over again, “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.” I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have been told to, “lighten up,” to, in so many words, “They say to the seers, “See no more visions!” and to the prophets, “Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. 11 Leave this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!” The Pastors of the Institutionalized church deceive the sheep/wolves into believing their wounds are not serious. They put worthless, self-help band aides on the gaping wounds week after week. They fail to declare the Holiness of God, the depravity of man and the righteous judgment of Him to whom we will give account. Instead they make God to be weak and dotting, just pleading with people to, “accept Jesus,” to say the, “sinner’s prayer,” to raise their hand or walk their isle and be saved, end of story. Now, read your Bible when you have time, say your prayers and come to church. This is the Americanized, institutionalized, marginalized, gospel, which is no gospel at all! It demands no repentance, no 180 degree turn around, no new birth manifesting in a new life. If ever there was a time for the Shepherds and sheep to wake up, it is now! See how salt-less the church that Jesus died for is; how indistinct from the culture; how caught up in the things of the world! Repent! “…because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.” (Daniel 12:9,10)
