Mechanic/Fitter Job description Rossendale Borough Council is looking to appoint a Mechanic/Fitter to join the Fleet Maintenance Team. You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience. Your main duties will be to support the servicing, maintenance and repair of all the Council municipal fleet vehicles and plant, ensuring that all are maintained and operating safely and efficiently to the highest standards, in line with current legislation. There will be a requirement to work flexibly between 6.30am and 6.00pm to meet the needs of the service.
