What’s the special occasion? This year marks 21 years since Sears, Roebuck and Co. did a final run of its legendary “Big Book” catalog, closing its catalog stores and shifting to a new retail model of locally owned and operated dealer stores. Sears Hometown Store of Aberdeen is one of 900 stores nationwide that came about as a result of that move. To commemorate the anniversary, the week kicks-off with a Family and Friends event July 20th and 21st that features an extra 15% off all Appliances and an extra 10% off just about everything else, 2 days only. We also are taking time to give back to our community with “Salute to Local Heroes”, our charity campaign to provide fire and EMS departments across the nation with critical funds to improve resources for training, equipment and financial support where the local heroes need it most. Hometown Stores will be accepting monetary donations at the register throughout 2014. We end the week with our 21st Anniversary Sale on Thursday, July 24th thru Saturday, July 26th with 21% or more off all appliances made in America, 40% or more on refrigerator door busters, and up to 21% off Power Lawn and Garden.
