Media Involvement Social Media and Broad virtual communities have become a powerful platform for debates and engagement as they enable a greater and faster dissemination of information and mobilization. This obviously implies stronger freedom of press. Media owners and developers must be allowed to thrive in an enabling regulatory framework. Should such a framework not be granted we encourage multilaterals, civil society and private sector to take a step. Indeed private sector have a good reason to advocate as they thrive better in a liberalized framework allowing the resurgence of diversified (local or national) media channels offering broader opportunities for advertising to boost the sales and increase their turnover. Also stronger media involvement enables broader sharing of lessons learned, new ideas and solutions disseminated.
