Media watch Real Madrid have barged into the race for Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who has still not agreed to a contract extension with Los Rojiblancos. Rakitics fine performances in a Sevilla shirt, combined with a contract which is due to expire in the summer of 2015, have led to a number of clubs taking a close look at a potential transfer.Liverpool have been consistent watchers of Rakitic this season, while the midfielder is also honoured by interest from Chelsea and Manchester United. Now he has another member of his fan club with, according to Spanish outlet COPE, Real Madrid looking at bringing Rakitic in for the 2014-15 campaign. Atletico Madrid are also keen and it remains to be seen where Rakitic decides his future lies. This season he has clocked up 41 appearances for Sevilla in all competitions, registering 13 goals in the process.
