Media watch Sevilla have reached an agreement with Liverpool and Chelsea target Ivan Rakitic over a contract extension, according to sources in Spain. The Croatians contract renewal talks have rumbled on over the past few months, with Sevilla keen to tie him down following his sensational performances this season. Rakitic, whose current deal expires in 2015, has scored 10 goals and set up nine more in 25 La Liga outings, sparking interest from teams across Europe. But the player and the club have reached an agreement after sorting out a hitch over the commission to be paid to Rakitics agent and brother Dejan. The representatives commission, which is believed to be around £800,000, will not be paid as a lump sum and will instead be spread over the duration of Rakitics contract, meaning Sevilla only pay part of the fee if the player leaves for another club before his deal expires. This could benefit the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea if they decide to make a bid - although they will have to fork out to land the prolific 26-year-old. Sevilla could formally announce the new contract next week before they take on local rivals Real Betis in the Europa League. Source: talkSPORT
