Medical Update: Nurse came to do my weekly blood draw and reported that my blood count is falling like a rock. Platelets down to 76 and white count lower and making me weak and frustrated. Dont cut yourself or have a brain bleeder while your platelets are so low, counseled the nurse...Yup, I know the drill. My entire body feels like its on fire, like sunburn pain. Cant sleep again and its 2:15 a.m... Dang, and I just learned that a close friend of mine, who had testicular cancer, lost a brother to cancer, and now tells me his wife found a mass and will undergo a biopsy in Jan...WTFreak. What are the odds? Ive learned this much going through this little ordeal; Im certain, there is not one person on this planet, in the civilized world, that hasnt been touched by CANCER. Why cant we go into debt for something like cancer research? We can spend ONE TRILLION DOLLARS on war, killing our sons and daughters but we cant earmark those kinds of funds for researching a cure for this evil and dread disease? I dont get it, I dont understand where our priorities are anymore. Im here to tell you, we are in the last days and many are calling evil good and good evil. Sorry, chemo-brain kickin in this morning.
