Medical Update (Thursday evening 1/23/14) Immediate prayers needed. Weve come across a second hurdle today. Leslies heart isnt pumping effectively. This could be due to a few different things, but they all have the same solution. They are taking her back to surgery soon to change the ECMO from bypassing her lungs only to now bypass her lungs and heart. This will give her heart an opportunity to rest. This is a simple procedure, but still extremely high risk. Please be specific in your prayers tonight to steady the hands of the surgeons, focus the minds of the entire surgical team, and to surround Leslie and her team with angels to keep her safe through this scary procedure. We will update when she is out of surgery and back in ICU which we expect to be about and hour and a half to two hours.
