Medicinal Plants in Management of Type 2 Diabetes and Neurodegenerative Disorders Publication charge: Free of cost for Bangladeshi authors Journal name: Evidenced based Complimentary and Alternative medicine Impact factor: 1.7 Call for Papers With the advancement in modern medical sciences, a variety of major diseases such as type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and neurodegenerative disorders (ND) (e.g., Alzheimers disease (AD), Parkinsons disease (PD), and the mood disorders) still prevail. Medicinal plants have the potential to prevent, control, or cure some of these diseases. For example, some plants have constituents useful for ameliorating as well as antiaging potentials due to the presence of antioxidants. However, the challenge to determine specific components having specific pharmacological activity and their clinical effects still remain. We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts which will help in drug development and clinical aspects of management strategies of T2DM and ND using medicinal plants. Potential topics include, but are not be limited to: Recent updates in natural compounds from medicinal plants in the treatments of diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders Developmental and experimental challenges of novel and effective therapeutic strategies from medicinal plants to treat or combat diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders Antioxidant activities and their mechanism in medicinal plants to prevent diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders Investigating the clinical effects of natural products in the treatment of diabetes and/or neurodegenerative disorders Toxicity and/or safety issue of medicinal plants related to the treatment of diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders Before submission authors should carefully read over the journals Author Guidelines, which are located at hindawi/journals/ecam/guidelines/.
