Medicine ball Russian twist Start: Sit on the floor, balanced on the rear end, with the legs raised up, the knees and hips bent 90 degrees, and the feet hovering off the floor. Lean the torso backward 45 degrees from vertical. Raise the arms out in front of the body with the elbows slightly bent and holding a medicine ball between the hands. Action: Keeping the feet raised off the floor, the legs centred, hips and knees bent, the torso angled backwards, rotate the torso and move the arms and medicine ball to one side as far as is comfortable. Touch the ball on the floor on one side. Immediately, rotate the torso in the opposite direction, and move the arms, hands, and med ball over to the other side as far as is comfortable and touch the ball on the floor. End: Continue to move the arms, hands and medicine ball back and forth and touching the ball on the floor at the sides.
