Meditate with Power! Moving Forward! Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Meditate on God’s Word! All of us in life will be given a BIG dream by God to do something that will honor the name of Jesus! It may start with something as simple as leaving empty pop cans for a poor person in the neighborhood, bringing in the empty trash container for our neighbor that was left in the street or teaching God’s Word in some manner or form. The key thing is to listen to the Holy Spirit when He moves you to do something of service for the Lord. Then, as you do the small things God may give you a BIG vision of a project that could reach around the world to honor the name of Jesus! As Joshua told the nation of Israel before they went into the land the key to success is staying focused on the Word; “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:7-8 God will guide us through His Word, Holy Spirit and prayer as we take the small steps of obedience in service to Jesus. Then the promise that God gave to Moses and Joshua and to you can begin to take form; “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. 5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.” Joshua 1:3-6 God has given us great and rich promises that can be ours as we move forward in faith; “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:2-4 God’s grace will empower you to do great things for God as you share the name of Jesus with those in your lives. It may not be riches or wealth that God gives you but the peace, purpose and power to accomplish the vision that God has given you! Move forward and trust God to do what only God can do through the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. Watch God divide the Red Sea and the Jordan River in your life and when He does, be sure to give God the glory!
