Meet Hawkeye! This handsome guy is almost 1 yr old, As a puppy he spent the first 5 months of his life on a chain outside before he came to DLRR. Unfortunately, the family that adopted him last year had to return him due to allergies in their child that they just couldnt overcome. Oddly enough, Hawkeye has pretty bad allergies too that we are treating. Hawkeye is housebroken, crate trained, loves kids and dogs. He is high energy but very well behaved. He will try to jump up on you occasionally but if you tell him no he will sit and let you scratch his neck and ears. Hawkeye gets excited when foster mom gets home from work and wags his little Labby butt so hard foster mom is surprised he doesnt knock himself down! Hawkeye is very affectionate and he loves, loves, loves the pool! He heads straight towards it when he goes outside so he is working on the no pool command. Foster mom thinks that he could play with the ball on the first step all day long if she would let him! He loves to put his whole head in the water too! Hawkeye is really smart and he been learning to sit and stay before he eats. Hawkeye also loves to go for walks. He pulls pretty hard so he is working on heel and sit. Hawkeye is a smart boy and catches on fast! He doesnt bark at other people or dogs but does get really excited when he sees them. Hawkeye would love an active family with a pool who are willing to work on keeping his allergies in check. This guy is sweet, handsome and wonderful - the whole Labbie package!
