Meet Jeanne, one of our Superfosters, with Zelika, the pup that shes adopting from the litter she recently fostered. Shes also adopting Zelda, the momma dog. Jeanne took Zelda in when she was pregnant, and cared for her through the birth of her 9 puppies. When Zeldas pups were just days old, we took in Zahara, a single orphan. Both foster Jeanne, and momma Zelda, took her in as one of their own. That made 10. Keeping a litter of 10 for 8 weeks is difficult enough, but this is real commitment. Jeanne is originally from Michigan, and spends April to October there every year. This year she just couldnt part with her then 2-week-old litter. Rather than passing them back to the center, she decided to pack them up and take them to Michigan with her! That was quite a challenge, traveling 18 hours with 2-week-old puppies is one thing, but imagine what it was like on the return trip with 10 now 8-week-old pups! We love you Jeanne.
