Meet Max. The story behind Max is that every day for 1 month - TopicsExpress

Meet Max. The story behind Max is that every day for 1 month he and his mum (Mia, his mum and the leader) would come and play with our two for an hour and then theyd leave. Only one day they forgot to do the leave bit. The first night - a miserable winter night in February when it was absolutely bucketing down - we allowed them to sleep in our fly-free. It has a covered roof so they were dry and they had bedding to snuggle down in to. Remember at this point we wrongly assumed they must belong to a neighbour. The next morning we asked our Spanish neighbours if they belonged to them - noone claimed them. So the next night we tried to settle them down in the fly-free again, only this time it was not good enough so they got an upgrade into our back porch. This has solid walls, roof etc and was warmer, more secure etc - a really nice place for dogs that perhaps well consider keeping but they will be outside dogs. Happily they settled. Until the next night - again, nope they were not for settling so again an upgrade in accommodation. They were now granted access to the study - this time actually within the house, yet again warmer and they had a lovely snuggle hole under the desk - the perfect place for them. It proved to be popular again for just 24 hours so they received yet another upgrade. Next move was an basket in my bedroom right next to my two dogs. Photograph 2 is a picture of them on this night - the night they moved in and became permanent residents - the night we realised we had been suckered from no we dont want more dogs to two new additions to the family. Look at Mias face below. Isnt that a picture of smug satisfaction in her triumph over hoodwinking susceptible humans and moving in? Within 4 nights theyd altered from well return them to their owners in the morning to full blown residents with near equal status with the other resident hounds. Mia crossed the bridge but we still have Max. He came with a bucketful of issues and phobias (doors are always an issue and aloe vera floor cleaner is the devil incarnate) but he love him and we know his mum sussed wed be a good home for him. We are not sure of Maxs breed other than Spanish indeterminate mutt but he loved to the moon and back.
