Meet Tugboat Annie! 13 year old, registered APHA paint mare, Twisters Robinette. 15.3h, and very, very wide. Excellent under saddle. Very comfortable to ride. Shes like riding a couch. Good beer drinking, trail horse. Probably would make a good husband horse, especially if your husbands favorite place is on the couch with a beer in his hand. She loves to have her ears rubbed and scratched, unless you go to bridle her, then she hates it and throws her head into the air like a werewolf howling at the moon. Im sure its my lack of training ability and patience that has prevented her from overcoming this issue.(if you go slow and gentle, shes fine about bridling). She neck reins, will lead or follow or ride alone, and she crosses water like she doesnt even see it. She will lope if you make her, but she rather just walk and do an occasional trot. She does require front shoes or boots because she gets very tenderfooted in the rocks. Xrays show that she has low coffin bones and not a thick sole. Shes fine barefoot on the back feet. Shes gentle and doesnt have a mean bone in her. Because of her size and her werewolf tendencies, she might be a little intimidating for small children.
