Meet our 1st grade teacher Hello my name is John Missig and I am the new first grade teacher at St. Mary. This is my first year teaching my own classroom and I am very excited to be a part of this great school. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2011 from the College of Education with a B.S. in Integrated Science Teaching. After graduation I worked as permanent building substitute for both Clinton Valley and Sequoyah Elementary schools in the Chippewa Valley School District. In March of last year, I landed a long-term substitute position as a tutor through the Indian Education Grant. This experience allowed me the opportunity to work one on one with students at various grade levels and really hone my teaching skills. I look forward to a great school year and am excited to help children strengthen their relationship with God.
