Meet our new intern, Lucas Sanoff! Lucas joined Plush to make a full time transition to audio post production from production (location) sound. Prior to his internship here, he was teaching English in Spain and he also worked at a non profit in East Boston teaching songwriting and recording to local youth. Lucas previous work in music, audio, and sound is marked with academic distinction and various awards. Lucas graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Music from Skidmore College. He has received the John Lennon Songwriting Award and he did the sound design/mix on a short film “The Greggs”, which won the Spirit Award at The 2014 Slam Dance Festival. When asked why audio post produciton piques his interest, he replied, I love the creativity involved. Your only limit in sound design is your own imagination. I enjoy the thrill of creating and shaping an environment as well as tailoring sounds to provoke an emotional response. It’s a craft of subtlety, but there is a real art to it. I love nerding out about room tones, or whether a door slam sounds better a frame earlier or later.
