Meet the RedRiver Docs: Dr. Joshua Redd, DC, DABFM Joshua J. Redd, DC, DABFM, is highly trained and experienced in working with primary care physicians and endocrinologists in helping to manage the care of patients with Hashimoto’s Low Thyroid Disease and Autoimmune Disorders. His focus is helping patients who are suffering from immune, endocrine and neurological disorders, and other challenging chronic conditions by providing a scientific- and evidence-based functional medicine approach. Dr. Redd has a Bachelors of Science in Health and Wellness along with a Bachelors of Science in Anatomy. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University. After chiropractic school, Dr. Redd received certifications from Bridgeport University in the following areas: Mastering Functional Blood Chemistry, Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis, and Mastering the Thyroid. He has also received certifications from the American Board of Functional Medicine in the following areas: Functional Immunology, Functional Gastroenterology and Functional Medicine. Dr. Redd received a Diplomate in Functional Medicine from the American Board of Functional Medicine. He is also in the process of obtaining a Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. He has over 100 special training hours specific to Low Thyroid and Hashimoto’s Disease and over 400 hours of post-graduate schooling. In the Salt Lake City area, Dr. Redd was responsible for hiring the medical staff for the Utah Blaze arena football team in 2010, and in 2012 he was selected to be on a panel of doctors for the First Lady of Utah’s Conference. He is a board member for the B-Strong Foundation and is also a health consultant for ABC4. Dr. Redd has spoken at many venues across the state, teaching patients how to better manage their condition with nutrition, diet and lifestyle. He teaches a religious studies group weekly at the State Prison in the Women’s section, where he has taught for the past three years. Dr. Redd has devoted a large part of his life to service in the community and his church.
