Meet the newest Turvey shorty! We’re adopting this beautiful little girl from China in mid-March. We could tell you all sorts of fun stories about watching God pave the way for this to happen…but we’ll save that for a private message or a face to face conversation. We rest on two verses now: The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps (Proverbs 16:9), and “You have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs” (Romans 8:15-17). Her name is going to be Maia Kate WanXia. Maia means close to God. Kate comes from her maternal grandmothers middle name, and WanXia is her given Chinese name. Thanks for sharing in our joy as we welcome her into a new home...a forever home.
