Meeting Notes August 5, 2013 Meeting started at 7:00 p.m. at the Owasso Public Library. Dave Crenshaw gave the Treasures Report: We have Account Balance of $ 2,263. 21, with and additional $ 550.00 being deposited this week. Dave presented the group with a detailed account of all activities during the month of July. Items Discussed: The following are proposed changesto the Owasso Bass Club Constitution. Non Boater Expense Share Currently Under Article 7 (n) – All non-boaters will share expense with his partner 50/50. Proposed Required minimum for the all non-boaters to pay the boater for gas, the required minimum will be $35 dollars for all tournaments outside of a 25 mile radius of Owasso. Tournaments within a 25 mile radius will require a $ 25 minimum. Requirements for Membership Currently Article 2 Section 2 - Membership: Requirements for membership: To become a club member, a person shall: A- express a genuine interest in membership. B- attends two meetings and fish in one tournament, paired with a club member. C- be voted in by current membership, affirmation must be unanimous. D- Must maintain a respective B.A.S.S. or FLW/TBF membership. Proposed Option 1: New members must pay upfront all club membership dues including B.A.S.S. dues and the person must attend one meeting before fishing any club tournaments. Option 2: New member has to have a registered B.A.S.S. membership along with attending one meeting prior to his or her first club tournament; however the person will be ineligible for tournament winnings, on the first tournament. The meeting following the first club tournament in which the prospective club member fished, he or she will be voted upon for membership into the Owasso Bass Club and affirmation must be unanimous. Option 3: New member has a registered B.A.S.S. membership and will be eligible to fish one club tournament; however the person will be ineligible for any tournament winnings on the first tournament in which they fish. In order to become a member, the prospective member must pay his or her dues at the next meeting, and he or she will be voted upon by membership. Affirmation must be unanimous. Reminder – Membership Dues are to be in September, per the constitution. Next OBC Tournament August 18th The next OBC Tournament will be moved at Grand Lake due to the high water and debris in the Navigational Channel. The time for the Grand Lake tournament will be from Safe Light to3:00 p.m. at the Spillway Ramp. In the event that the Spill way ramp is closed, the location will be moved to Dam Ramp at Cherokee State Park. This will be a paper tournament. 1. Kevin Lewis/Jim Doolittle 2.
