Meg Rogers Lets look at this logically. I think Mr. Block may have jumped the shark on this one. I have always held the belief that Ken Block has some great ideas as to how to fix Rhode Island... further, I have always held the belief that he is renting our party and holds the GOP, in which many of us have labored for decades, in low regard... as somehow beneath him. How many people actually find it credible/logical that Governor Mitt Romney would endorse a person who twice chose Obama as Commander in Chief? Even if you are Block supporter, you know this defies credulity and common sense. So Ken Block declares last night he interviewed the Romney Presidential Team, the prestigious Shawmut Group, to be his campaign managers? The hubris is beyond belief. Hi Shawmut Group, this is Ken Block from Rhode Island. I voted for Pres. Obama twice and I embraced Obamacare and I hate Citizens United and I feel the Supreme Court is too far too the right. Could I put you on hold? Oh, yes, considering using you as a hired gun -- oh, yes, Governor Romneys endorsement is for sale as part of your fee? Never mind, on second thought, Ill pass... Does anyone buy this tall tale? This is a very, very serious allegation. Any Republican worth his salt who sits idly by and thinks this is acceptable, does a great disservice, if not harm, to our brand. Although I do get that Mr. Block would not think twice about impugning the integrity of a Bishop in the Mormon faith, Republican Governor of our neighbor to the north, and the GOP Presidential candidate (and who could still be a Presidential aspirant in 2016)--a man whose character has never come into dispute even by his opponents in the Presidential Primaries of two cycles-- but.. no matter what one may think of Governor Romney, he is NOT FOR SALE. This charge from Mr. Block has little, if anything, to do with Rhode Islands gubernatorial race. This speaks to mans character and lust for power. As a Republican for 35 years, I cannot sit by and watch the reputation of a person of uncommon decency and character be maligned... of course, no authentic Republican would EVER countenance or condone this. To sit by idly and not condemn this is wrong--in fact, it is the death of decency. Where are the leaders in our party? Is the thirst for power so insatiable that it corrupts to this level? m.washingtonexaminer/republican-says-mitt-romneys-endorsement-is-for-sale/article/2552803
