Mega love to share here folks! I dont know if something bigger than I realised happened when STV thought I wasnt suitable for children but here goes.. Last week parents approached me with their kids for pictures, explained to them what I am and thanked me for taking the time to talk to them. THIS week whilst having my pre bingo cigarette, a mother stopped with her little boy, she was pointing at me and using sign language to talk to her son, she then noticed me looking a bit puzzled and said oh sorry I hope you dont mind but Im just explaining to him that he is not alone, he dresses up at home all the time, puts make up on and has wigs which he likes cut and then the wee boy signed to his mum I want a new one to which she replied of course you do, you always want a new one She kept repeating how important it is for him not to feel alone and know then when he grows up he can know there are more just like him. Fabulous, creative and fluid creatures who just want to shine as bright as they can. I never in a million years would have imagined something like that happening to me getting the chance to show an 8 year old boy who is deaf that he is not alone and his amazing mother will do all she can so that he never forgets it! Just AMAZING. The world is a dark place at times but as long as we fight for love, peace and acceptance, the light will always shine! Love! Everybody say LOVE!💖
