Melissa Koster posted: I need some advice: our hospital has gone through some major changes in the last 8 months. We lost half our techs to various different reasons and finally our OR manager just recently, after only helping us out for about 2 years. During this time, I was the one selected to train and orientate every traveler and finally our new hire STs. At first, it didnt seem so bad, but now I seem to be less patient and I really just want to go back to scrubbing. The problem is Im the only full time tech we have to teach, so the new hire has some consistency. I feel burned out and am worried that I will portray the wrong attitude, or not be as patient as I should or could be. Any suggestions?
