Melissa (aka Mel) is working on getting me a picture, and some of you have already heard from me but: my former coworker and friend, Kathy, passed away this week after a battle with lung cancer. While Kathy may have tested her coworkers patience with her limited grasp of technology, she had a big heart and always looked out for her brood of post-college chickens (many of whom were with her through thick and thin til the end). Kathy leaves behind a 13-year-old kitty named Bitsy. Bitsy happens to be a littermate of Plums. I have promised Mel that if our network of friends and family in Minnesota and Wisconsin cannot find a home for her, I will take her... but I hate to make a kitty that old travel 8+ hours. Bitsy lived with another cat for many of her years and has always lived inside. Wed be looking for a golden years home for her where someone will love her and look after her like we know Kathy would have if she could.
