Melodrama occurred at the International Terminal of the Murtala - TopicsExpress

Melodrama occurred at the International Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Int’l Airport Yesterday, when it was noticed that most of the international flights arriving the airport from various countries like UK, US, Ghana Liberia, Togo etc were filled with Nigerian students studying in Foreign countries and most people were surprised because this is an odd time for students to visit home since the first semester is about to commence in most universities, hence people assumed they were deported from the countries. In the course of interacting with the students, we gathered that, like their counterparts schooling in Nigeria, these students surprisingly came home because of the on-going ASUU strike. On further enquiries a student from Harvard university told FNN that the president of the university demanded to meet all Nigerian students in the school where he informed them that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has ordered all Nigerian students in foreign universities to come back home as the strike thickens. Thus,he and some of his friends decided to come back home, only to meet some other colleagues from other universities at the airport too. It is believed that ASUU requested for their presence back home to show the Federal Government how serious they are, since it seems their demands are falling on deaf ears because most of the children of people occupying top government position, school in foreign universities. The vice chancellor of Coventry University spoke to FNN correspondent and expressed shock and anger over the recent development. She asserted that this will spoil business for them. B4 u comment, wats d full mearning of FNN?
