Memorabilia Post: If you did not have a Formic table top, you may have used these to set hot bowls or pots on to serve meals. I have been told the Formica cabinets tops do not burn, but i got a bad burned spot on my cabinet top b/c a crock pot got too hot. West Bend cooker got too hot and burned where one leg was on the counter top and the rest were on a glass cabinet protector. (A West Bend cooker cooks fast or slow and are not like regular crock pots that cook meals slowly.) Does anyone still use them?
