Memories of one of the greatest experiences of my life. I spent a week aboard the magnificent USS Nimitz CVN-68. I slept and ate as crew did. I had the great privilege and honor of touring the ship, seeing areas that I wasnt allowed to photograph. On this particular cruise, her sister submarine made a brief but very rare appearance, and I got to witness that from the aft bay. I stood on deck for launch and recovery. I slept on the upper rack right below the wire that catches the birds as they land, hearing touchdown, catch and recoil. Id love to make just one more cruise.
