Memories—Good and not so good...We all have them, and for many of us...The difficulty lies in what we choose to do with those flashes! I would lie if I didnt admit that some stuff hits hard and tries to trip you up, BUT GOD has given us HIS strength to let go, bounce back, and leave the negative in history. I remember the day the doctor called me aside and with his head held low, he said, You dear lady. He referenced the pain and the medical discovery of my dad, who was then diagnosed with throat cancer at its most progressive stage. It was in Jackson, MS when the three of us, (my mom, my dad, and I) had to face the facts that after battling 10 months of saving his eyesight, we were given 13 days to unite and deal. The doctors left it up to me to tell him and for some reason, my mom was just not there. My dad opened his mouth and told her...Alice, life is this way. We live, we leave, and for some, we hope to live again. He said...This was my shot at this life. GOD...Whatever happens...Let it be YOUR Will. Theres more but for NOW...I was told the night before the transition, he laughed with three of his students, who were on staff and attending to his care. They told him how tough he was and how he impacted their lives, cultivating successful, disciplined human beings. In this emotional roller coaster, we must stay on the path. Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative. Continue the journey! Run on and see what the ends gonna be!
