(Zambia you have grown) happy Golden Jubilee 1. our parents used to carry the Black and white TV set when going to bed 2. every T-shirt was called a skippa 3. all snickers were called amataki 4. every face towel was called spanki 5. the master bedroom was called kukati 6. the only form of disciplining i at school was ifikoti 7. parents didnt want you to wear new clothes during the week ati fyaku Church 8. minced meat was mizz mit 9. ice block was called aizi bloko, no maxcool. 10. a bun was called ibanzi 11. a scorn was called isikono 12. not having bathed was red card from watching TV 13. we went to the roadside to watch cars and shout donki 14. we were told wearing a red cloth in the rains was dangerous 15. we bathed only during the day end, earlier than that was uleya kwisa 16. we called every washing paste ati safu 17. we called every coffee or cocoa ati tea 18. every cooking oil was saladi 19. we burnt sugar to make tea 20. we removed our shirt before fighting 21. we watched Bruce Lee and felt like starting a fight so that we fight like him 22. we got somebody from the streets to represent our parents at school especially when getting a report form 23. every truck was a Lorry. 24. we used to sit on the floor to watch TV ati ifipuna fyabakulu 25. TV used to open at 17hrs and watch cartoon for 1hr only 26. we used to play outside not munganda bola and motoka yama wire. 27. every talk show, documentary, discussion was ifyakulanda 28. we slept after super no TV coz ninshi there is only ifyabakulu The list is endless... add some more...
